To communicate and develop advances in teaching, learning and training in microbiology.
- Recognize the importance of raising the profile of microbiology in primary and secondary schools, focusing particularly on transition
- Acknowledge the range of post-18 audiences: FE, HE, new postdocs/staff, technical, industrial and academic and the public
- Increase links with medical/dental/other professional courses/other disciplines to facilitate education and training
- Encourage communication with all relevant educational institutions
- Review, develop and build on existing activities
- Promote research-led teaching and encourage and support creativity and innovative approaches
